The better ‘wetting action’ of conditioned water breaks up soil clods and improves soil texture (as you can see above) by surrounding individual soil particles with tiny droplets of conditioned water. Not only does your soil become more permeable but it is able to retain its moisture content for longer periods.
In fact, lab tests have shown that soil soaks up conditioned water 84% faster (simply because the mineral particles in conditioned water are reduced to a much smaller size).
By improving the permeability, unwanted salts which previously accumulated around the root zone and in the soil, are flushed well below the roots and do not reform. Stressing to the plant is relieved with the salts removed. Now your plants can extract the nutrients they crave from the soil.
What’s more, mineral particles and salts in conditioned water no longer adhere to the leaves to the same degree and so leaf burn is reduced considerably.

Vegetable grower saves $30,000 and returns 830% on investment after Care-Free stops 2,100mg/l salt water destroying his lettuce crop
As you know, good news travels fast. A vegetable producer whose bore water had become brackish with 2,100mg/l salt was about to plough in 10 acres of young lettuce severely affected with leaf burn. Using water with a TDS of 2,500 mg/l, the Care-Free Conditioner produced a 50% increase in onion and eggplant crops as well as a tomato harvest of AUD$20,000 on only 1,000 sq metres. The previous season a tomato crop could not be grown at all due to the salty water.

After flood irrigating lucerne only eight times the soil analysis showed a substantial reduction in chloride of 77%.

Without Care-Free the wetted area measured 68 cm... so more than half the water and fertilizers were wasted.
